The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Well, it is finally here; my last day of work until the Wednesday after Christmas! Except for a few appointments at the first of the week, I am going to rest and read by the fireplace. I am so excited. Hopefully, it will stay chilly in the Ham.

I am driving into town this morning to take Christmas gifts to a few of my colleagues and my manager. I am not planning to stay down there all day and will probably leave around lunchtime. I am not battling traffic both ways today unless I absolutely have to.

The Irish Cream turned out amazingly as a footnote.

Among the many things I am doing today, I am making a batch of homemade Irish Cream after work this evening. I have decided that my manager at work would enjoy it and I haven't made it since I lived in Florida. I was able to find my recipe and everything!

Only 2 more days of work (after today) before I am off for 7 business days. I cannot wait. I am tired and ready to relax and have some fun.

Yay for both the irish cream AND the off time! Our house guests leave tomorrow and I need to get my butt in gear. I have gifts for a needy child to wrap, 4 dozen snickerdoodles that someone is paying me to bake, a couple of gifts for family to wrap, and an ass ton of the yearly Christmas cookies to bake! Send help! lol!

I actually slept well last night; almost eight hours only waking up once to pee. I know. Too much information. :-) Yesterday was exhausting. The commute into town wasn't bad, but it took me almost 1.5 hours to get home last night. 65 South was a nightmare. They desperately need to add a lane at my exit. It takes almost 20 minutes to get from the exit to my house which is probably under 5 miles. There is an ill-planned red light at the end of the exit that funnels to a 2 lane road. I need to explore getting off an exit earlier and coming home through back roads. At least if I was moving I would not be as edgy. My anxiety does not do well sitting still in traffic.

I lived through a two-hour meeting yesterday. Who needs to meet for two hours? I can say everything I need to say in 15 minutes or less. I have another in-person meeting today, so I have to go back downtown. I despise meetings. They are way too peopley.

Not much else is new here. Now that the Christmas tree is up, I need to start wrapping presents. I want to do it before Christmas Eve like usual. At least I have all of my gifts purchased except for the one gift that I am making. I am making homemade Irish Cream for my manager at work. I made it a long time ago with my mom, so I am hoping that it will turn out well. I think he will enjoy that. He is the kind of person that would appreciate homemade booze. :-)

I hate traffic....
If I lived closer I would totally help you wrap your gifts now that I have finished almost all of mine.... I have to wait for the last one to come out and be delivered to me.
Today was too peopley for me as well..... Walmart, Costco, post office, Publix..... just NO. lol

Yay, me! I finally decided that I'd had enough of this messy house last week and made some real progress getting everything in order and tidy. I have decided to hire someone to do the deep cleaning. I just don't have the desire and I really don't want to hurt my back before my week off coming up. I think that will take some of the pressure off which would be great.

I didn't sleep hardly at all last night. I never sleep the night before I have to go downtown. It sucks. I am going to be tired all day and I have about 40 meetings. Ugh. Not looking forward to this day. Thankfully, I only have one more full week of work before I am off for Christmas. I will be off for about 12 days and boy do I need it.
